Description
The Social and Memory Groups Support Service provides critical social and memory group interventions that promote mental well-being, reduce isolation, and prevent premature reliance on higher levels of care, including residential placements. With loneliness affecting over 1 million older adults in the UK and depression impacting one in five people aged 65 and over, these services play a vital role in maintaining independence and quality of life. Research indicates that social engagement significantly reduces the risk of cognitive decline, supports better physical health outcomes, and alleviates pressure on NHS and social care services. Due to system limitations in the Find a Tender Service (FTS), the contract signature date shown in this notice does not reflect the actual contract signature date the contract was signed on 02.05.2025
