Description

The University is seeking a competent, experienced contractor to carry out resurfacing work of Parkwood Road, Canterbury campus and the road safety improvements shown in the drawings provided. A detailed survey and Road Safety Audit has enabled the development of the design which includes: The improvement of existing speed reduction measures, amendments to crossing points, as well as the resurfacing and relining of the carriageway. Parkwood Road is an integral part of the University, linking the main campus with accommodation, sports facilities, and nursery facilities, as well as the Grounds Maintenance Depot. Due to the busy nature of the campus, the Contractor will need to allow for works to be completed in sections. An outline programme to be agreed in advance. The successful contractor will be responsible for developing a comprehensive Traffic Management Plan to enable the work while minimising disruption. Night works will be considered. The Contractor will need to carry out all elements of the works required between Thursday 3rd July 2025 and Friday 1st August 2025.
