Description
Under recent changes to the NHS and local government, Wolverhampton City Council's Public Health teamis now responsible for commissioning sexual health services in the city, including contraception and sexualhealth services (CaSH), sexual health promotion, HIV prevention and genitourinary medicine (GUM) services.The new required model for Transforming Sexual Health Services in Wolverhampton has been developed tooffer a city-wide' Integrated sexual health system'. This will include integrating GUM and CaSH through a mainhub. We would like to offer more routine services, such as contraception and basic screening and treatment forsexual infection in local communities, through better coordinated services, delivered by pharmacies and local organisations. The proposed new system will support individuals making informed, confident choices with aspecific focus on vulnerable groups and young people.
