Supporting Families with Substance Misuse

The Provider will be required to work with both children and adults affected by a family substance misuse. This includes specialist emotional and social support to help affected family members understand the addiction, explore ways of improving relationships and learn skills and strategies for coping effectively, to feel more in control of their lives. The aim of the intervention is to help clients develop resilience and improve their wellbeing without directly trying to control or influence their relative behaviour.
