Wind Generator System

The COAST Laboratory (www.plymouth.ac.uk/coast-laboratory) is a state of the art research facility for the study of wave and current interaction with offshore and coastal structures using scaled physical modelling. It consists of the 35 m x 15.5 m x 3 m Ocean Basin, a 15 m x 10 m x 0.5 m Coastal Basin, two 0.6 m wide wave flumes and various smaller teaching facilities. Since opening in 2012, it has been instrumental in the UK maintaining its world leading position in the ORE sector, playing a key role in testing novel ORE devices and platforms through UK and international collaborations.
