Description
The UK's COVID-19 testing capability is enabled by a nationwide logistics and distribution solution. The overall solution covers the delivery of pre-test kits to various test locations, where test samples are completed and collected, and returned to a network of laboratories for each test to be processed and a test result then issued to the test subject. This contract, awarded by the Department of Health & Social Care, is for one element of this system: the collection of test samples and supporting materials and their transportation to Delivery Points within the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland). Core requirements include daily scheduled collections from regional and local testing sites, and courier collections by request from mobile testing units, satellite sites (such as care homes) and homes.
