Description
The contracting authority is the Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills acting through the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), an executive agency of the Department for Business Innovation and Skills exercising functions to fund adult education and skills. The SFA, acting as an Opt-In Organisation for the European Social Fund (ESF), is procuring services to meet priorities identified by Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area European Structural and Investment Funds Sub–Committees. As an Opt-In Organisation the SFA provides match funding at Priority Axis level utilising sources of public funding as match for ESF funded activity. This Invitation to Tender (ITT) supports ESF Investment Priority 1.4 Active Inclusion where the need has been identified both in the LEP area and European Structural and Investment Fund Strategies. The SFA is looking to procure organisations to deliver the services of an ESF Community Grants – Grant Co-ordinating Body for each of the LEP areas below: Black Country £1,000,000 North Eastern £2,000,000 Northamptonshire £300,000 Oxfordshire £430,000 South East Midlands £1,080,000 York, N Yorkshire, E Riding & Humber £2,000,000
