Description
The National Coal Mining Museum for England is aware of the need to manage and maintain all our heritage buildings and ensure the overground conditions at Caphouse Colliery and Hope Pit are suitable to the objectives of the Museum itself. In line with our objectives we will look to appoint a contractor to develop a condition report on all buildings within the museum site. The condition report should include detailed documented photographs, recommendations, a record of priorities for each attached recommendation and indicative costings where appropriate and available. As the site is part of the National Coal Mining Museum for England visitors and guests may be on site so any solution must bear that in mind. We will welcome proposals involving either manual or technological driven solutions with the intention that the more favoured solution would likely form the basis of our decision making process going forward. We invite suppliers, contractors and interested organisations to advise us as to costs, expected achievements and translation estimates - grounded in factual analysis and projections - of what could be expected through any inspection thus undertaken.
