Description
Bradford Council is seeking tenders from Roofing Contractors who are interested in gaining approval onto a measured term framework agreement. The framework will cover reactive repairs and maintenance works in relation to roofing works. The roofing works will be carried out on a range of non housing public buildings across the district including but not limited to schools, libraries, children's centres, civic buildings and swimming pools. The type of roofing works will vary but mainly the type of roof structures will be: • Traditional Slate and Tiled pitched roofs • Built up felt covered roofs • Lead • Ubiflex • Single Ply membrane roofs • Liquid plastic roofs • Profiled composite sheet roofing • Mastic Polymer modified Asphalt • Proprietary roof repair systems • Flat roofs • Guttering works are also common types of work orders However, as there are a wide range of roof covering methods and technologies available we have listed the most common types only. The contract covers emergency reactive works, small repairs and maintenance works, which covers the typical day to day roofing work and will form the bulk of the orders. There may also be orders for improvement works to roofs and minor works up to £5,000.00 where the works are required immediately to prevent further damage and there is insufficient time to tender the works. In order to be approved into the framework Contractors MUST be members of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), Confederation of Roofing Contractors (CORC) or equivalent. Please note this framework does not cover works on roofs that are subject to warranties.
