Description

The vision for Adult Social Care is to promote community resilience and enable vulnerable citizens to access support and services within the communities in which they live, exercising choice and control so that they can live good quality lives and enjoy good health and wellbeing. The role of commissioning is to help build the right services around people in order to make a difference to their health and care outcomes. The Council requires a supplier to assist with the planning of the co-production programme, train a team of co-production volunteers, model best practice and provide oversight of the programme. The successful provider will be expected to undertake the following tasks below: o To co-plan and develop the approach to making the process of co-producing a commissioning strategy for external day opportunity services, and a service improvement plan for internal day centres accessible to all participants through development and use of accessible language, methods and tools. o To co-ordinate and lead on the delivery of a series of a circa 5 short training programmes for the volunteer participants to be delivered in response to level of interest, accessibility and capacity. o To co-deliver elements of the co-production activity in the required timescales involving as wide a range of citizens who access day opportunities and their carers and families, providers and other stakeholders. o To collate and analyse relevant quantitative and qualitative data to support evidence-based service delivery and commissioning decisions for the future. o To collaborate with the Council's Commissioning Officers throughout the programme to deliver the objectives of the co-production programme. This contract will be for a period of up to 8 months between 3rd July 2023 to end February 2024. It is expected that main delivery period of the co-production programme will be between July and October 2023.
