Description
The Council has been allocated funding from the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) fund administered by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) to stimulate the investment of a private charge point operator (CPO) in borough-wide electric vehicle charging infrastructure in residential areas. The Council intends to procure a concession contract with a CPO partner to provide a minimum of 400 charging sockets. The Council will be procuring a new concession contract for a period of up to 20 years - the precise format of the initial term and any extension is still being considered. The concessionaire will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and operation of the charging infrastructure during the contract period.
