Description
Wakefield Council is seeking a provider to deliver a Direct Payment Support Service to individuals receiving a direct payment and people with parental responsibility of children with assessed need to purchase services and includes: • Information about Direct Payments • Information about the payroll service and how it operates. • Budgetary help • Information, advice and support about becoming an employer, including legal responsibilities. • Information, advice, and support on how to draft an advert and job descriptions, interviewing, police checking staff, contracts of employment, staff retention, staff termination, disciplinary and requisite insurance cover. • Information and assistance with calculation of Payroll, National Insurance and Tax in liaison with the relevant statutory agencies. • Health and Safety Regulations. • Records to be maintained. • Advice and guidance regarding the completion and submission of information to the Council. The contract period will be for a period of two years, with the option to extend for up to an additional one year, at a total three-year contract. The contract period will be 1 April 2024 until 31 March 2026 which will be £328,472, with the option to extend for up to one year, increasing the contract value to £497,651. The estimated contract values include inflation.
