The Council seeks Quotes to refurbish Middle Chine Bridge and Alum Chine Bridge. The works to Middle Chine Bridge are as follows: • To prepare areas of corroded steel and paint the whole of the bridge. • Remove the hand rail and prepare and paint the localised areas of the parapet. • Repair / replace areas of heavily corroded steel sections and bolts as instructed. The works to Alum Chine Bridge are as follows: • Lift the timber decking and mesh panels and remove to store • To prepare areas of corroded steel and paint the whole bridge • Paint mesh panels • Replace the decking and mesh panels The contract is due to start on the 22nd August 2016 and is expected to finish by the 14th October 2016.
