Description
The MCA is actively involved in the development of standards and regulations concerning marine radio spectrum and navigation equipment at national, European and international level. The development and delivery of UK policy in this area proceeds upon technical expertise and a presence in numerous fora. This call-off contract arrangement will enable the MCA to call upon the services of industry experts. Prospective suppliers must demonstrate the ability to perform the activities in at least one of the following specialist areas: radio/spectrum, navigation equipment and standards, and radar. This call off arrangement has a total budget allocation of £150,000 over 3 years which will be apportioned across multiple suppliers. Potential contractors should note, that the MCA does not guarantee a usage level or amount spent under any of the area's of expertise required. The MCA anticipates that the spend with one supplier will not exceed 1/3 of the budget value unless tendering for more than one area of expertise.
