Description
This project seeks to provide rapid training to families, personal assistants and small independent care providers. The aim of the work is to support the development of peer coaching and training to provide learning and resources which will upskill the families and carers through the period of transition into restart and the new future after Covid-19. It will reduce the potential for unnecessary admissions for people with a learning disability, including those who are also autistic, whose distressed behaviours may otherwise lead to hospital admission. This is an approach to remote training and education provision which is designed to reduce the pressure on stretched families and support the interventions service provider offer.
