Description
"The Council have taken the decision to abandon this procurement process, which was undertaken last year." The Scheme requires the construction and widening of the Junction by introducing a new section of highway on land currently owned by the Council and private landowners and alterations to the layout of the existing highway network. The Scheme in brief looks to improve the operation of the Junction. Due to the immediate constraints at the Junction, the Scheme has been developed to target improvements to the A6177 Outer Ring Road. Specifically, the Scheme looks to build a new road between Horton Park Avenue/Cecil Avenue junction and the All Saints Road/Dirkhill Road junction, with a priority junction at one end and a roundabout at the other end. The purpose of the new link road is to allow movements to bypass the Junction
