Description
Yorkshire Water is conducting preliminary market engagement to inform the sourcing strategy for a new fleet of emergency drinking water assets, aligned to Security and Emergency Measures Direction (SEMD) and DEFRA AWS requirements. The scope includes procurement of rigid water tankers (19,000L), tractor units, curtainsider trailers, and truck-mounted forklifts to support the company's alternative water supply (AWS) obligations. We welcome engagement from suppliers and OEMs with capability in manufacturing or supplying specialist utility vehicles and equipment, particularly those experienced in water tankers, vehicle upfitting, potable storage, or trailer-mounted logistics. This engagement aims to assess build lead times, pricing, delivery models, innovation opportunities, and potential for bundling vehicle components. This notice does not constitute a call for competition or a commitment to procure.
