Description

**The Call for Proposals has now launched. Please follow the link below to access the relevant Contracts Finder notice** In the context of EU Exit in all scenarios, UK nationals (UKNs) and their family members living in some EU/EFTA states will need to register or apply for residence. Many UKNs will already be informed about the need to register through a range of Member State, UK Government and wider outreach and communication activity. However, some UKNs will be at risk of failing to register and will require extra support in being aware of and/or applying for a residency status. The FCO is therefore initiating a grants scheme for organisations to practically support UKNs and their family members to complete the full process required to register/apply for residency by the deadline in their State of residence. This support could be through a range of activities such as providing information and advice, improving understanding of the registration process, and provision of technology and direct assistance to help UKNs register. It is essential that the support provided via the grants scheme leads to UKNs undertaking the registration/residency application process. The FCO assesses that certain groups are likely to have additional needs, and will benefit from support in registering or applying for residency. These may include but are not limited to the following: - some elderly people, disabled people and people with serious health conditions; - those who have experienced modern slavery and/or trafficking; - those who have experienced domestic abuse; - those with no fixed abode; - those living in hard-to-reach or remote areas; - children; - those requiring digital assistance. The FCO intends to make grant funding available: up to £1,500,000 this financial year (2019/20) and, subject to a review of the Fund's effectiveness and continued demand, up to £1,500,000 for FY2020/21. Grants will be awarded to voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations and there will be one level of grant award: £60,000 and above.
