Description
The Jamestown Swimming Pool consists of two pools, namely a 33m (100 foot) long main swimming pool and a smaller paddling pool. The pool was constructed in 1979 by the Royal Engineers and opened in November of that same year. The actual swimming pool is still in good condition however the plant facility that operates the pool is past it’s shelf life and is in need of complete replacement. This tender looks to address this issue and extend the lifespan of the pool for at least a further 40 years. The intention is to replace the plant facilities as well as piping to the pool with the exception of the pipework under the pool to increase the life expectancy of the pool operation. The new solution should create reliability and consider low cost of operation in terms of utilities, operational maintenance, spares and consumables.
