Description
RMBC and its partners require interpretation, translation and alternative formats of communication services. The languages required include Albanian, Arabic, British Sign Language, Mandarin, Czech, Farsi, Hungarian, Kurdish, Lingala, Lithuanian, and Mirpur dialect, Oromo, Polish, Punjabi, Pashto, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Somali and Urdu. Rotherham also has a large number of disabled people in the Borough, many of whom have a range of communication access needs. These include the provision of information in Large Print, on Audio Tape, Braille, and interpretation in British Sign Language (and other communication methods used by Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf Blind People). We also provide information in Easy Read for people with learning Disability/Difficulty/ and low levels of literacy. The Council are looking to identify a single service provider for each of the five service areas outlined below (telephone interpretation, face to face interpretation, accessible formats, translation and alternative formats) on a framework agreement basis, in a timely, cost-effective way. The services provided must meet the highest standards of quality based on both the needs of the customer and the Council.
