Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) wish to invite you to tender for the above scheme. I enclose the following documents for your information:- (1) Location plan (2) Drawing no. 182-3-170-35 (3) Preamble to Bill of Quantity (4) Bill of Quantity (5) Section 1750 - Scope of works (6) Section 1751 - Concrete repairs (7) Section 1752 - Cathodic Protection - General (8) Section 1753 - Cathodic Protection - Products (9) Section 1754 - Installation, Commissioning Operation and Maintenance (10) Section 1755 - Works Information - Technical (11) Cathodic Protection System Condition Report (12) O & M Manual - Terminal List (13) O & M Manual - As built drawings (14) O & M Manual - Jan 2001 (15) O & M Manual - DurAdjust Control System (16) Standard Contract Conditions (17) Anti Collusion Certificate The Conditions of Contract for the work will be to the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract Option B : Priced contract with bill of quantities. Work Descriptions The appointed contractor will be required to:- Undertake the works stated in Section 1750 - Scope of works. Health and Safety The appointed contractor shall comply with all current health and safety legislation and produce risk assessments as necessary in relation to the activities involved in carrying out the work. Submission of COSHH assessments and method statements will be required for approval prior to commencement on site. Site Rules 1. The site should be made safe and secure at the end of each working day. 2. Safety footwear, hard hat and high visibility jackets (comply with Network Rail requirements) will be worn by all operatives. 3. The site is to be kept tidy at all times. Proposed Programme 1. Receipt of tenders by 11:00 a.m. on Monday 27 March 2017. 2. Commence on site to be confirmed (subject to railway track possession). . 3. Completion within 8 weeks of commencement. Tendering Instructions The tender should be returned by 11:00 a.m. on Monday 27 March 2017. The Council does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves the right to reject any tender that is not submitted in accordance with the above tendering instructions. The anticipated spend is in the region of £90,000.00 for the period of the agreement. However this does not carry any guarantee of turnover and any estimated volumes of business are indicative and may vary upwards or downwards depending on actual future needs.
