Regardless of the type of investigation it is the aim of all managers acting in the role of investigator, to act in a manner that is open, fair and seeks to put things right for all parties involved and to prevent similar events happening in the future. Managers of the Trust need the appropriate tools and training to enable them to carry out their role.
