0561 System & Equipment Requirements Fire control/station shall be arranged in the Wheelhouse, with necessary emergency stops, monitoring and controls etc. A single water monitor shall be arranged on the vessel with a dedicated pump in the hold space, as per the Machinery Arrangement. The water monitor shall have local operation and remote operation from the bridge, and remote operation of the isolation valve shall be possible. It shall be possible to get a minimum air throw of 100 meters. The water monitor pump shall be electrically driven, with variable speed. Estimated pump size/capacity is 900 m3/h at 12 bar. All material shall be corrosion resistant. The maximum velocity in in piping shall not exceed 3.5 m/s.
