Unite Procurement UK Limited (part of Unite Holding SE), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, is seeking suppliers to join the Mercateo Procurement Platform to support the provision of a CNC Fiber Laser Cutter (Photon Flex 3 KW, 3x1.5m)

(www.mercateo.co.uk) offers a compliant route to market for UK Public Sector organisations to manage low-value, high-volume procurement.
We are seeking to procure a CNC Fiber Laser Cutter (Photon Flex 3 KW, 3x1.5m), complete with integrated fume extraction and chiller unit. This equipment will be used in the manufacture of parts for armoured vehicles and armour applications, where high precision and reliability are critical.
Key Requirements:
CNC Fiber Laser Cutter, Photon Flex 3 KW, bed size 3x1.5m
Integrated fume extraction system
Chiller unit for operational stability and safety
Installation, commissioning, and initial training
Security and Sourcing:
Due to the sensitive nature of the end use and security considerations, priority will be given to UK-based suppliers and manufacturers. This requirement arises from the need to ensure supply chain integrity and reduce dependency on overseas sources.
Background:
The laser cutter will be a key asset in producing high-quality, precision components for armoured vehicles and protective armour. Suppliers must be able to demonstrate experience in delivering and supporting advanced manufacturing equipment for defence or similarly regulated sectors.

Instead, multiple suppliers may be onboarded to the Mercateo Procurement Platform to ensure a diverse and competitive supply base, supporting flexibility and choice for the Ministry of Defence and associated organisations.
Suppliers are encouraged to express their interest by the stated closing date to ensure early consideration. However, applications to join the Mercateo Procurement Platform will be welcome at any time beyond the initial deadline. Unite Procurement UK Limited reserves the right to review and onboard new suppliers on a rolling basis to meet evolving requirements and to maintain a dynamic and responsive supplier network.
