Description

The City of Liverpool College is undertaking a programme of toilet upgrades across three main sites: Vauxhall Road, Duke Street, and The Arts Centre, all located on the ground floor. The works will involve refurbishment at two sites and reconfiguration at one site to improve accessibility and inclusivity. 1. Vauxhall Road & The Arts Centre - Toilet Refurbishment At these sites, the toilet facilities will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment. The scope of work includes: • Removal of Urinals in the male facilities, with a transition to individual toilet cubicles. • Redecoration Works including new ceilings, flooring, and wall finishes to refresh and modernize the facilities. • Installation of New Fixtures & Fittings, including: o New toilets and sinks. o New mirrors and panelling. o Replacement of consumable items such as taps, soap dispensers, hand dryers, and other sanitary accessories. The focus will be on delivering functional, modern, and hygienic facilities while working within the allocated budget. 2. Duke Street - Layout Reconfiguration & Inclusive Toilet Installation At Duke Street, works will involve both refurbishment and construction to accommodate a new inclusive toilet layout, which will include: • Full Reconfiguration of the Existing Layout to provide fully enclosed toilet cubicles, ensuring privacy and inclusivity. • Introduction of an Accessible Toilet to improve accessibility in line with inclusive design principles. • New Finishes & Fixtures, similar to the refurbishment scope at Vauxhall Road and The Arts Centre, with redecoration and new sanitaryware. 3. Timescales & Site Visits • Project Duration: All works are scheduled to take place within the summer period, commencing in late June and completing by mid-August to ensure minimal disruption to college operations. • Site Visits: A site visit will take place on 4th March from 09:00 to 12:00, starting at The Arts Centre (Myrtle St, L7 7JA). Interested suppliers must book in advance to attend, please contact Tina Smith either by telephone 0151 252 3243 or tina.smith@liv-coll.ac.uk, please provide the information on who will be taking part in the site visit and your company name. 4. Budget & Specification Considerations The college aims to complete these works within a defined budget and acknowledges that the highest specification materials and finishes may not be feasible. However, quality and durability remain a priority, and we are seeking to collaborate with a single supplier who can support the college's needs while offering a cost-effective and practical solution. All works will be undertaken with minimal disruption to college operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and accessibility standards.
