Description The United Kingdom Home Department (Home Office) is intending to deliver reintegration support to Returning Individuals from the UK in two countries: • Algeria • Sri Lanka BACKGROUND To support the United Kingdom Home Department (Home Office) key priorities of tackling illegal migration, removing those with no right to be here, and protecting the vulnerable, the department is seeking a Recipient(s) to deliver reintegration services to support Returning Individuals from the United Kingdom (UK) to the two countries: Algeria and Sri Lanka PURPOSE OF THE FUNDING • Pre-departure information - produce a country-specific information sheet that will enable Returning Individuals to contact the Recipient directly. • Produce relevant pre-departure communications for Returning Individuals, including video, audio, social media, and marketing communications. • Airport reception provision for Returning Individuals to address immediate needs (for charters and upon request for scheduled flights). • Temporary accommodation for up to 5 nights following arrival. • Transportation to an onward destination in-country. • Care and food provision packs. • Assistance with family tracing and reunification services. • Support with in-country redocumentation requirements. • Signpost and support-provision to access local services including housing, health services, social services support, educational support, legal services, and financial services (where available).• Mental Health support (where required). • Support with accessing the labour market. • Management of the Returnee Education and Entrepreneurship fund (REEF) to provide: o support with setting up a business; or o support with accessing vocational training; or o support with accessing further education. • Hosting workshops and/or mentorship programmes to upskill Returning Individuals. • Legal migration pathways and recruitment in third countries. • Effective monitoring and evaluation of reintegration outcomes. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF APPLICANTS The Home Office invites applications from those organisations who express an interest in the opportunity and meet the eligibility criteria. The Applicant must: • be a non-statutory sector organisations that are charities (if a charity has a UK charity number), Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), community organisation, or social enterprise and non-profit making organisation in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and overseas, • be able to deliver the Purpose the full duration of the grant period, including any possible extension period, and • be able to meet all lotting criteria and outcomes. Scheme specific: The Applicant must: • be committed to work with Returning Individuals who have been convicted in the UK criminal justice system (Foreign National Offenders); and • have previous experience of delivering reintegration services in the past 3 years; and • have legal authority to operate across the entire in the country they are applying for.
