Description

North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) would like to invite prospective providers to participate in the online market engagement event in preparation for a future procurement opportunity for North Northamptonshire Council Independent Advocacy Services. The nature of NNC's current commissioning requirements: Independent advocacy enables Individuals to have as much control as possible over their own lives. Independent advocates are completely neutral and impartial from the Council and Health and Social Care services. This helps to prevent a possible conflict of interest, which is particularly relevant for Individuals that require an advocate. The independent advocate does not make any direct decisions for the person they are supporting; instead, they provide them with all the necessary information so that they can make an informed decision themselves. If the Individual does not have the mental capacity to make an informed decision, then it is possible for an independent advocate to speak on their behalf. Please note: The service requirements will commence 1st November 2025 for North Northamptonshire Council. The event will provide the opportunity to: • Share your learning and experiences • Gain your feedback to shape our requirements before we commence the procurement process. The session will be virtual events (on MS Teams), led by The NNC Commissioning Team and NNC Procurement Colleagues. To test the market appetite and interest in the proposed procurement opportunity, we are conducting a Market Engagement event held virtually on Microsoft Teams on Monday 9th December 2024 from 11.00pm - 12.30pm. We look forward to seeing you at the event. To find out more about NNC please visit North Northamptonshire Council (www.northnorthants.gov.uk).
