Description
Requirements Lot1: The scope of supply is design, manufacture and installation of the lead shielding described on drawing SI-6578-063 into the five basket flasks, SI-6578-060, and collection of the steel flasks from UKRI - STFC and delivery of the completed flasks to UKRI - STFC. The sky shine tray and the reflector basket will not be dispatched with the flasks as they are not required for the lead filling. The stainless-steel inner shell assembly will need to be removed to allow installation of the lead and then reinstalled on completion. Shims (SI-6578-106) will be free-issued by UKRI - STFC and are to be installed during the FAT to ensure correct fitment of the inner shell assembly. The detailed design and arrangement of the lead shielding will need to be completed and agreed with UKRI - STFC, general guidelines are set out on drawing SI-6578-063. Chevron blocks have been described on the drawing, however it is acceptable to offer the most appropriate form and solution as long as good shielding practise is followed and no weaknesses or radiation short paths are created.
