Description
The works comprise of the completion of the steam and condensate links from the end of the service duct installed from the Charles Morris Header as part of an earlier phase of the project to the Bow Plant Room on the main campus at the University of Leeds, in preparation for the isolation of the steam and condensate distribution system in the vicinity of the former boiler house, which forms part of the University's ICEPS development. The new links will provide the affected buildings (Earth and Environment, Dobtree, Whetton and Storm Jameson) with supplies of steam and condensate following new connections to the Charles Morris header and Bow Plant Room. The works include the supply, fabrication, installation, insulation, testing and commissioning of all mechanical pipework, fittings, trap sets etc. together with all associated civils works and builders work in connection with. All Buildings in the vicinity of the works will remain occupied and in use throughout the duration of the contract. All existing vehicle and pedestrian accesses are to be maintained throughout the duration of the contract. Any proposed diversions will require prior notification and agreement in advance.
