Supply and Installation of Multiple Axis Cyclic Dynamic Shears System THE UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM INVITES TENDERS FOR THE SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING: Multiple Axes Cyclic Dynamic Shear Apparatus o Types of control required by the device include: i. Single and Multi-stage tests ii. Consolidation iii. Constant sample area (K0, Kzero) iv. Cyclic shear (simple and multiple axes) v. Rotating direction of shear vi. Stress and Strain vii. Automatic loading viii. Consolidation (Axial load) force of 5kN or above ix. X and Y axes loads of 2kN or above x. X and Y axes displacement accuracy 0.1 or better over measured range xi. Low frequency cyclic loading up to 1Hz or above xii. Constant displacement (load response) xiii. Static load (displacement response) xiv. Ability to handle multiple sample sizes from 50mm and above o In addition the following are required or considered xv. Single and Multi-stage tests xvi. Local and remote control options. xvii. Multiple waveforms (optional) xviii. Programmable experimental sequences xix. Optional Saturated and unsaturated testing xx. Optional Bender elements xxi. Optional Cell pressure Support and service help A reliable service package is required to ensure the full upkeep and efficiency of the product. This can range from service care contracts for durations after installation to warranties for equipment and please specify what they include. This also will include all technical support and training as well as potential application requirements in the future. The suppliers will agree to provide operational support for the duration of the paid for service contract. A 2 year warrantee with options to extend to 5 years.
