Description
LFRS has identified a requirement to increase operational response resilience arrangements with the support of third-party contingency providers who can offer the necessary capacity, knowledge and skills to either work alongside crews or on their own if required. This requirement is only likely to be required in the event of: - natural disaster, - terrorist event, - pandemic outbreak, - industrial action, - prolonged incidents over multiple days, - any other unforeseen similar event.To supply sufficient and suitably trained staff maintaining 100 % availability of six fire engines throughout each occasion that the third-party provider is used. To respond immediately to emergency incidents when mobilised, aiming to attend life threatening incidents within 10 minutes from the time of call. To work with other blue light partners and local agencies as necessary to resolve emergency incidents effectively, adopting safe systems of work using LFRS supplied equipment and consumables, deployed from fire stations and locations within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. To provide fire control with timely location, informative and assistance messages.
