Description
Concourse substation main LV switchboard works (including high voltage switching). Fit out works to proposed Edwardian LV switch room (former external gas store) to include small power, lighting, emergency lighting and fire detection. All builders work associated with the above works to include structural remedial work to proposed Edwardian switch room roof, enabling works to provide safe access for routing of high level external power cables and temporary works to provide protection to existing equipment fixtures and fittings. Edwardian Building Switchboard Installation to include the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the switchboard, metering installation and the transfer of all outgoing ways from the existing panel boards/main switch board to the new switchboard. Supply installation, testing and commissioning of a generator connection to Level G Alfred Denny plant room and the installation of a new section board to the Level G Animal Sciences laboratory area. Alfred Denny LV Switchboard installation to include the supply installation, testing and commissioning of the switchboard, fit out of the room, metering installation, cable jointing and transferal of all outgoing ways from existing panel to new switchboard. Winter Street Substation LV Switchboard alterations to include the installation of additional electrical "cabinets" to extend main low voltage switchboard, high voltage switching and Isolation of high voltage and low voltage cabling where required. Transformer inspection and maintenance to include the IUS limited inspection and maintenance works to both transformers. The limits of the site boundary are detailed upon drawing (01)001. During the Construction Phase, the adacent Hicks and Student Union buildings will be fully occupied during normal working hours (8am - 6pm Monday to Friday). Access restrictions for all of the working areas will be in place throughout the contract and are indicated on the proposed limitations (11) series drawings. Works will be undertaken both within live occupied spaces and out of hours during which the rooms will be vacant. Careful consideration must be given to providing a means of segregating the works from the building occupants. The project is to be delivered in a single phase, with the works comencing on the ** ** ** and the completion date being the ** ** **. Works are to be delivered on a five day working pattern with out of hours working required throughout the contract period. Varying access restrictions to the works areas will be in place throughout and the contractor will be required to undertake works in occupied spaces using localised segregation of the works areas.
