Description
The following outlines the scope 1. CEK/APHA engineering Liaison - interpreting APHAs science/regulatory requirements to CEK and IFM so that we make sure we deliver what the business requires when they need it. Also challenging requirements where they might not be the best approach - so in looking at the upcoming autoclave replacement project, we used Merrick to challenge the business about the true need and Merrick were able to engage the business in a simpler and cheaper solution because they have up to date knowledge of what modern autoclaves can do, whereas most autoclaves at Weybridge are 20+ years old so the business is out of date. 2. Expert in regulatory requirements and the challenge that APHA must bridge to achieve ongoing compliance issues. An example of need is when starting the badger study in B267 which needed a very fast review of compliance and a series of measures implemented in a very short period of time to allow the study to go ahead. 3. Review of containment related incidents on site, such as when the ETPs fail and critical equipment failures TM risk assesses the events and liaises with building users/SHaW, CEK and IFM. 4. Coordinating and assisting APHA/CEK in development of Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure that we are handling things safely. Weekly reviews of BCPs (to make sure we are spending money wisely and that the cost is sensible for the gain), FMRs (due diligence on what needs to be done), RAG status (are we correctly closing labs because of issues and when can we reopen), IFM planned Maintenance (is the schedule right, have we captured everything that needs to be done, is the building safe to open after the work is complete). 5. Engagement in specific project upgrade work which is separately bid for e.g. reviewing and editing the new containment related scopes of works that are written by internal project managers ensuring that the correct outputs are requested to assist in developing site wide containmen
