Description

Tree works, including but not limited to felling, reducing and clearing, to be carried out during business hours. This does not include emergency or out of hours works. The contractor must possess, maintain, and have access to all necessary equipment to effectively and safely execute tree work during business hours. This includes, but is not limited to: Vehicles - Robust 4x4 vehicles suitable for park access (with appropriate clearance/permissions), fully insured and equipped with secure storage and lighting. Chainsaw - A range of professional chainsaws(ground and climbing saws) with appropriate guide bars for large and small material, and spare parts. Access, Climbing - Full set of specialist climbing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including harnesses, ropes, friction devices, and emergency descent/rescue equipment. Lifting, Rigging - Rigging equipment (slings, blocks, ropes, port-a-wraps) and winches (vehicle-mounted or manual) for securing and controlling large/fallen timber. Lighting - High-intensity, self-powered lighting towers/generators for safe work visibility during night-time operations. Welfare, Safety - Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all crew (helmets, visors, chainsaw trousers, boots, hearing protection), mobile welfare facilities, and traffic management signage/cones. Clearance - Woodchipper and/or tipper truck/trailer capacity suitable for immediate removal or large volumes of timber and brushwood.
