Chatham Waterfront Development Site - Consultancy

Medway Council is seeking to appoint consultancy services for Chatham Waterfront Development Site, which represents one of the key regeneration opportunities in Medway, uniquely located in the heart of Medway and on the river front. The aim is to secure the waterfront as a destination in its own right with a distinctive, dynamic and vibrant new residential development above cultural, retail and leisure facilities. The opportunity has been split into 2 lots: Lot 1 is for initial advice - The consultant will initially provide advice and recommendation on the development approach which should be followed ensuring the Council obtains best consideration and delivers development as quickly as possible. The options include: Negotiated developer procurement; Joint venture opportunities; and disposal of the site Lot 2 covers subsequent consultancy of preferred option - The consultant will provide full support through the resulting procurement or disposal process including ongoing advice, marketing, developer selection, evaluation and assist through the negotiation of a development agreement where applicable: Consultants have the option to bid for either or both lots.
