Description
Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council is seeking to appoint a consultant to investigate the potential for shallow geothermal scheme in the Ellesmere Port and Chester areas to provide pre-heated water to secondary heating technologies in a district heating network. Detailed investigation is required to set out the technical specification should a viable site be identified. The technical specification would include; the risks and costs of implementation, methods to maximise heat transfer, and the viability of connecting to different heat boosting temperature technologies across a wider distributed heat network with an action plan for implementation clearly defined and scoped out. The Study is also required to consider the potential phasing of a project.
