Brief Description of Requirement The Medical Research Council (MRC) are looking to appoint a Contractor who will be required to provide the role as Lead Designer/Architect and provide for all relevant disciplines with the exception of: Planning Advisor, Building Regulations Inspector and the Commissioning Consultant. The Services to be provided for the project under this Contract will include all services under RIBA 4 - 7. The works identified under the various design stages require close working relationship with the Project and Cost managers. The Contractor will be responsible to ensure that the design complies with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements and need to ensure to liaise with the relevant authorities (for example Local Planning Authority, Home Office, Environment Agency, etc.). The Contractor will be responsible and accountable for developing the design within the given funding envelope. This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the RFP document.
