Description
Award of contract for refurbishment of the existing Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum building and construction of the new Room to Grow extension, that will provide a much-enhanced museum, education and exhibition space on this site. The appointed Construction Contractor will work with the Principal Designer to oversee the pre-construction and design of the new extension building on the museum site. The Construction Contractor will assume the Principal Contractor role for this programmed work and will be expected to work closely with the appointed Interpretation Designer to ensure that the best exhibition and museum displays are created as well as the best use of internal space is achieved. This project is being delivered in partnership with Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum and with funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund and Coastal Communities Fund.
