Description
The Marlowe Trust is seeking to appoint an architect led multidisciplinary team to develop a major capital development project. The Marlowe is one of the country's leading regional theatres bringing a world class performing arts programme to Canterbury. The project will be a comprehensive development of theatre facilities for the next 25 years. In the past year over 380,000 people attended 450 performances of 90 different productions. This demand combined with changes in theatre touring economics have led us to identify a major back of house and production development to increase capability and range of work. Additional facilities for rehearsal and training will further strengthen the Theatre's already exceptional contribution to the local economy. The range of potential design, engineering and other disciplines required is available in the information pack. The information pack should be requested via email from info@dca-consultants.com as in the contact information. Information requested in the pack should be submitted via email no later than 13.00 on 2nd August 2023. Following receipt of the information a shortlist of teams will be invited to submit a full tender. The appointment will be for all services to post completion, but the Trust reserves the right to instruct work on a stage by stage and discipline specific basis in line with funding and construction planning.
