Description
Background Information Border Force is a law enforcement command within the Home Office and secures the UK border by carrying out immigration and customs controls for people and goods entering the UK. As part of this, the UK operates juxtaposed controls at the French side of the Channel Tunnel (Coquelles), where UK immigration and customs controls are carried out. The Secretary of State for the Home Department acting through Border Force (the Authority) is seeking a Contractor to transport non-detained person(s) and their personal baggage from the UK control zone at the Channel Tunnel Terminal in Coquelles (France) to Folkestone in the UK, via minibus or coach, 24/7. For a full and detailed explanation, please see Attachment 3 - Statement of Requirements. - The contract length will be for 4 years, with the option of a 1 year extension. Information on How To Bid: Our bid pack comes in two main parts: Attachment 1 - About the procurement: this provides information about what the opportunity is, who can bid, the timelines for this competition and how to ask questions. This also includes, "Making the competition work", which sets out the rules of this competition. Attachment 2 - How to bid: This sections provides guidance on the selection and award questionnaires and how we will assess your bid. There are three additional attachments to this Bid Pack: Attachment 3 - Statement of Requirements: This provides detailed information about the Contracting Authority, the Authority's detailed requirements, volumetrics, KPI's and what is expected from the Contractor. Attachment 4 - Price Schedule: This is a simplified Excel spreadsheet that allows bidders to detail costs against specific elements of the requirement. Attachment 5 - Short Form Contract: The short form terms and conditions have been developed by the Cabinet Office for general goods and services contracts with a value below the procurement thresholds set out in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 Bidders will be required to submit their responses using Attachment 2 "How to Bid" and Attachment 4 "Price Schedule" by 15:00 on Tuesday 15th September 2020.
