Description
Tavistock Town Council invites Expressions of Interest from contractors with skills and capability in heritage and conservation projects. The appointed contractor will deliver the repair and restoration of the Grade II listed Butchers' Hall, Market Road, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 0BW, either directly or through sub-contractors. The scheme comprises re-roofing works in natural slate, joinery repairs to clerestory windows and louvres, repair of rainwater goods, re-pointing to external walls and installing a new shop front. Interested contractors will be required to complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. Contractors will be selected from the pre-qualification process and invited to tender for the scheme. The Butchers' Hall is owned by Tavistock Town Council and the repair and restoration work is supported by the Tavistock Townscape Heritage Initiative. Contract value in the region of 300,000 GBP. Project start date April 2016, completion July 2016 (16 weeks).
