Description
The Restoration & Renewal Programme Delivery Authority has a requirement for traffic management services to support surveys taking place in relation to the Queen Elizabeth the 2nd (QEII) conference centre. The Palace of Westminster, home of Parliament, is one of the most loved and recognised buildings in the world, but it's falling apart faster than it can be fixed and is in urgent need of repair. Politicians and the public are in agreement that we need to get on with the restoration Programme to save the Palace for future generations. The expert and engineer-led Restoration and Renewal Programme has been set up in law by Parliament to restore and protect the Palace of Westminster in the most cost-effective way possible. In 2018 Parliament decided to create independent bodies to manage the Restoration and Renewal Programme, a Sponsor Body to set the scope, budget and timescale, and a Delivery Authority to carry out the work, and procure and manage the contractors and supply chain. To facilitate the restoration of the Palace of Westminster, the Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme the Delivery Authority has a requirement to survey areas outside the QEII Conference Centre in Westminster. Interested parties should note the eligibility requirement for this competition: that proposals are restricted to Tenderers classed as a Small and Medium sized Enterprise (SME). "SME" defined as any business with fewer than 250 employees and either an annual turnover below £45m or a total balance sheet less than £40m.
