Description
The proposed research aims to explore how service change can impact doctors' training. We hope that through this research we are better able to ensure that doctors' training is considered and protected within the planning and implementation of service change. To achieve this aim, the research should address the following questions: a Is doctors' training being adequately considered within service change? b What impact can service change have on doctors' training? c What are the issues that arise, if any, during service change in relation to the doctors' training? d Service change varies in the setting, scale, activities and drivers. What types of service change pose the most risk to doctors' training? ? How can the GMC pinpoint when/where this is happening? e What is best practice when implementing service change in order to protect doctors' training?
