The introduction of a new fitness framework has been identified on the annual delivery plan as one of our agreed projects, with the request to transition to an annual fitness assessment to provide a greater assurance that operational firefighters are able to maintain the required fitness levels. \r Therefore the service will investment in the estates facilities, including gyms and equipment, aligned to development of policies, support and education is practical evidence of real change and progress.
