Description
Provision of various metal fabrications, structural repairs and associated maintenance support services at the Tamar Crossings. There are many routine and ad-hoc maintenance requirements, as well as smaller projects across both services, for instance - • Contract support services - on-site welding inspection and testing • Welding, maintenance, repairs and metal fabrications on board the ferries • Maintenance and repairs to shore side infrastructure such as ferry chain gantries • Minor structural repairs to bridge structure, gantries and runway beams • Bridge and ferry inspection support • Routine annual maintenance activities - greasing, cleaning bearing and joints etc. • Larger one-off contracts such as major bridge access improvements, parapet trials • General labour support - ferry chain replacement, ferry gantry maintenance Please note that existing arrangements involve the present contractor typically attending at the Tamar Crossings sites each month for a duration of anywhere between 1-10 days depending on workloads and client requirements.
