Description
Opportunity Sheffield is seeking to commission a suite of employment support activities to achieve the following objectives: • specialist and/or targeted employment support for economically inactive and/or socially excluded unemployed residents of Sheffield, who cannot access appropriate provision elsewhere, • successful delivery of all required UKSPF outputs and outcomes, to meet the Council's contractual requirements with the funder (SYMCA / UK government), • a dynamic, results driven programme, fully integrated with the city's wider skills and employment support provider landscape, • wide coverage of employment support services across the city and ease of accessibility for participants, to enable large scale engagement and progression into the labour market, • targeting of high demand cohorts and geographical areas, including those where previously limited provision has left cohorts and/or areas with a shortage of accessible support mobilisation of specialised skills, knowledge, experience, and networks to deliver targeted, tailored support for groups and communities with particular needs, • innovative approaches from a diverse range of organisations which serve their communities can be supported, • value for money from the investment of UKSPF and SCC core funds is achieved.
