Description
This role is intended to provide senior associate-level support within the PR19 Policy Coordination workstream - for more information on our approach to draft and final determinations for PR19, please see the PR19 final methodology and the results of the initial assessment of plans. Whilst we currently expect this role to focus on cross-cutting policy issues related to our draft determinations, due to the nature of the price review and Ofwat's need to be responsive and flexible in reaction to the exact content of companies' business plan submissions, there is the potential for this role to be allocated to another workstream within the PR19 programme (in discussion and agreement between Ofwat and the successful contractor). As a result we are looking for transferable skills that could suit multiple policy areas across the price review. Following publication of the results of our initial assessment of business plans on 31 January 2019, we will move into the next phase of the price review, working towards draft determinations. You will be part of the team responsible for contributing to these draft determinations. Key roles will include analysing company submissions (including revised business plans submitted in April 2019 by companies whose plans are classified as slow-track or significant scrutiny), presenting findings to colleagues, and potentially taking a lead advising on strategically significant policy issues.
