Description
The Homes and Communities Agency wish to appoint a suitable contractor to undertake necessary remedial works to enable adoption by the Isle of Wight Council of the road known as Seaview Road in the Cowes area. The stretch of highway in question is approximately 350m long and the works include: refreshing of carriageway markings, repairs to speed restriction signs and replacement of existing signage with illuminated signs, vegetation clearance, relaying of footpath, introduction of beany block kerbing in places, introduction of gulleys and associated pipework, lifting of manhole covers and associated resurfacing works, introduction of granite channel block kerb in places, introduction of tactile paving in places and pavement resurfacing works. The works will be subject to separate section 38 and section 278 agreements to be entered into by the HCA with the Isle of Wight Council.
