Description

Provision of a Night Safety Marshal Scheme ("Scheme") in town centres across Sussex. The aim of the Night Safety Marshal Scheme is to:• Increase public safety and confidence• Reduce demand on emergency services• A reduction in serious violence• Increase Partnership working.The objectives of the Night Safety Marshal Scheme are:• To protect our communities by identifying the vulnerable and ensuring they are kept safe.• To prevent serious violence with early intervention and the removal of threat.• To reduce violence against women and girls.

The extension of the current Scheme and/or expansion to roll out the Scheme to Hastings and Worthing as well as the current towns in Sussex (Table 1 in Section 1.1) from 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2027 is subject to the Authority receiving Home Office funding. The budget will be up to a maximum of £500,000 annually.
