Roadside technology operated by The Employer currently uses bespoke protocols and methodologies to perform the following functions: - Control roadside devices e.g. set signals or messages in the case of signs and signals. - Monitor the performance of devices and identify faults on devices. - Produce and access device specific configuration data which is currently contained on the Equipment Configuration Plug (ECP) .Address roadside devices and associate the address with network information which is currently contained on an ECP
